The material has low thermal expansion,good refractoriness,excellent chemical inertness,fine electric isolation.low and stable supersonic delay-action.the best transparent form transmits UV,and IR as well as visible light and higher mechnical properties than these of usual glass.

Quartz glass is made by melting either naturally occurring crystalline quartz or silica produced synthetically from silicon tetrachloride at the high temperature of 1800°c,The resulting fusion can be formed into rod ,tubing,etc As the usual glass ,quartz glass realize the thernal process to tubes and rods at high temperature.also can be machined with diamond or cilicon abrasive tools at a high speed and cool condition,making different apparatus and special products.
